About "Dark" sites", "Edge" sites and "Unacceptable" Sites

There is a slow movement afoot to make more and more fetishes unacceptable and make it impossible for "edgy" websites to survive.  Every few months, 3rd party billers, Visacard, or various merchant accounts announce one more fetish that they will not allow or will not bill for.  Many sites that closed down in 2005 did so because they could not find billing services, or their services were cancelled several times until they had no more money to engage a new biller.

Some websites are forced by their billers to remove content, remove words, and even remove links to any other sites that the biller finds offensive.

For instance, websites billing through CCBill cannot have the following on their webpages/site and cannot link to such webpages/sites:

Any and all depictions and/or actual occurrences and/or content and/or marketing and/or references to: 1. Underage: Provocative and/or Non-Provocative; including Hentai or animations. - 2. Rape: Rape, involuntary sex or forced sex; in all mediums including Hentai or animations. - 3. Bodily Excretions: Scat/fecal matter, person to person watersports, and/or a woman's period or menstruation. - 4. Extreme Violence: Acts of extreme violence, and/or depictions of extreme violence in all mediums including Hentai or animations. Extreme pain and/or implying and/or suggesting extreme pain. Flogging (severe beating). - 5. Bloodletting or Bloodshed. Consumption of Blood. (Webmasters note! The blood rule can affect your linking to vampire fetish, goth fetish, and horror movie fetish sites!) Self-mutilation. Cannibalism. Depiction of gore inflicted by oneself and/or another individual or group. 'Snuff' or 'Fantasy Snuff' content and/or content involving or implying death or serious bodily injury. Autopsy photos. (Webmasters note: This can affect your linking to necro fetish and "darksites".) - 6. Diaper Fetish: Diapers, Diaper Fetish and/or sites which depict models in diapers in all mediums including Hentai or animations; Sexual or Non-Sexual. --- Forbidden on CCBill's website but not mentioned in the email list: Bestiality, Incest. --- Not forbidden on CCBill's website and not in the email list, but forbidden according to CCBill staff: Chloroform (chloro, chloroformed), Kidnap (kidnapped, kidnapping), Ransom.

The biggest streaming co-op, AEBN, has been forced to remove some fetishes from their website and cancel contracts with many video producers.  AEBN cannot accept any stories, roleplay, or consensual scenes involving scat, abduction, chloroform, or rape.  Even though mainstream movies contain this kind of content all the time.

As for the government, what do they currently consider to be obscene?  Well, they're doing the same thing... add another item every few months.  Take the weirdest stuff first, make that criminal, then the next-weirdest stuff, and keep going until everything even slightly odd is "obscene" and illegal:

September 2005: U.S. government targets "bestiality, urination, defecation, as well as sadistic and masochistic behavior."  Most people are grossed out by someone peeing on someone else, but really, if the two people doing it like it, what's the reason for making it illegal?

October 2005: U.S. goes after watersports, fisting.

October 2005: U.S. goes after the written word (thought police), closing a non-photo site with stories about bestiality, water sports, scat, bondage and domination, slavery, threesomes, orgies, and sex with minors.

November 2005: U.S. government adds piercing and simulated torture to their target list.  Why should two performers acting out simulated torture be obscene and illegal?  We see it in mainstream movies all the time.

Some bdsm and bondage sites shut themselves down in 2005 because the government's definitions of obscenity are so vague that no one can tell what's going to be illegal.

From all this we can only assume that since the government is making consent-based performances between adults into something "obscene" and illegal, they must feel that the crime inherent in these acts is actually what might happen when other people view the movies or photos.  However:

There is no correlative relationship between porn and criminal rape:
Since approximately 1993, the internet has dramatically and exponentially increased the amount of porn accessible to and viewed by U.S. citizens. During this entire period, rape has decreased -- not increased.

There is no correlative relationship between porn and physical violence:
Since approximately 1993, the internet has dramatically and exponentially increased the amount of porn viewed by U.S. citizens. During this entire period, violent crime has decreased -- not increased.

The "Dark" sites section of Bound And Gagged's links is a place for all these fetishes that are being cornered.  These fetishes may not be your cup of tea, and you might not care that other people are finding their fantasies to be illegal -- but remember that the government's intention is to make the weirdest things illegal first, and then slowly expand the list.
Our "Dark" list includes links to fetish, fantasy and roleplay sites for watersports, scat, necro fantasies, extreme SM, extreme pain, blood fetishes, vampire fantasies, injury and mutilation fetishes, gore and horror genres, aby and ageplay roleplay, bukkake, fisting.  For those unfamiliar with some of these terms:  Bukkake means covering the face with sperm.  Aby means "adult baby", an adult who wants to act like a baby, sometimes putting on adult-size diapers.  "Ageplay" means pretending to be a different age.  This includes if you and your spouse wanted to re-enact together the first night you had sex, when you were both 16 and in falling in love.
